Title I is the nation’s largest federal assistance program for schools.
Students who qualify for academic support may be served in the areas of reading, language or math.
Oak Park Elementary operates under a “Schoolwide Plan” for delivering services. The schoolwide model was adopted to provide maximum flexibility to staff for serving students in need.
The goal of Title I is to help every child get a high quality education.
Oak Park Elementary meets this goal by providing instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state’s challenging performance standards. We invite you to provide input on any/all aspects of the program.

Highly Qualified Teachers
The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires a “highly qualified” teacher in all classrooms. According to the legislation, “highly qualified” is defined as a full certification, a bachelor’s degree, and a demonstration of content knowledge in all core subjects taught. Oak Park is proud to announce that 100% of our teachers are considered highly qualified based on the NCLB standards.
